Cycloidal gearboxes are a class of gearboxes characterized by their small size, high number of achievable reduction ratios, and high load capacity. These characteristics are complemented by high impact resistance, excellent precision, and quiet operation. Starting from a minimum ratio of 1:6 up to a ratio of 1:72, they are available in a single stage and their axial compactness is a distinctive feature.
Thanks to these characteristics, cycloidal gearboxes are widely used in the fields of robotics, machine tools, assembly/packaging machines, and positioning applications.
The possible configurations are:
- HH (hole-hole): hollow input and output for quick and slow shaft insertion;
- HS (hole-shaft): hollow motor input and shaft output;
- HF (hole-flange): hollow motor input and flange output that can be used as a positioner.
The accuracy is 3 arcmin.
