Pick & place systems are fundamental devices in industrial automation. They move parts from one station to another through combined, precise and programmable movements performed with grippers or other gripping tools. They are widely used in assembly, packaging and testing machines where fast, repeatable handling is required.
CDS offers two types of Pick & Place solution, designed to meet different application requirements.

CDS pick & place units can be supplied as independent modules operated by a start/stop gear motor, or designed to be mechanically synchronised with the machine transmission.
Lubed for life
All units are lubricated with mineral-based oil, and the sealing system used allows them to operate in any position without leakage.
Mechanical cam pick & place systems are ideal for high-speed applications with repetitive cycles. CDS offers solutions for both linear (LHP series) and rotary (MHP series) movements, providing precise, synchronous movements that can be mechanically linked to the main machine transmission.
These units are particularly suitable for high-volume process machines, where reliability, compactness and low maintenance are key requirements
Servo pick & place systems (MCR series) are programmable handling units that offer maximum flexibility and a wide range of operations. Position, speed, acceleration and dwell times can be freely defined, making them easy to integrate into modern projects that require frequent format changes, complex movements or multi-format production on the same line.
